Global Smart Grid Federation is happy to announce and welcomes Indonesia Smart Grid Initiative PJCI, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and Energy Blockchain Consortium EBC as its Charter Member, Utility Member, and Associate Member respectively to spread the awareness of new developments in smart grids that will advance the vision, mission and goals of the GSGF.
Mr. Reji Kumar Pillai, Chairman, Global Smart Grid Forum states “We are very excited to welcome TNB, Indonesia Smart Grid Initiative, PJCI and Energy Block Chain Consortium to the Global Smart Grid Federation family. The Federation which was established in 2010 is working hard to extend its reach and engage new members to promote awareness on smart grids and to work towards the same goal. GSGF brings together the intellectual capital of smart grid stakeholder’s organizations from around the world to help member organizations initiate changes to their countries energy systems to enhance security increase flexibility, reduce emissions and maintain affordability reliability and accessibility to clean energy.
Tenaga Nasional Berhad-As the country’s largest and leading electricity company in Malaysia TNB’s core business is to provide electricity to the country’s businesses, homes and industries and a key contributor to Nation building. They have also embarked on the sustainability agenda through efforts such as Renewable Energy and other environmental and social initiatives. TNB believes in empowering the community, greening the Nation, nurturing a vibrant workplace as well as setting standards in the marketplace.
Indonesia Smart Grid Initiative PJCI- Its main objective is to prepare technology, regulation, education and entrepreneurial institutions as well as forming systematic roadmap for Smart Grid implementation as a solution towards Smart Indonesia. Mr. Eddie Widiono, founder of PJCI states that Smart Grid counts with a strong correlation with renewable power plants, electric vehicles, and energy storage to thrive in the country's smart cities target.
Energy Block Chain Consortium: It mission is to identify and solve the most compelling problems and opportunities in the energy industry using the Block chain technology and to diffuse these solutions throughout the industry in order to create profound and lasting economical and societal impact. EBC comprises of Executives, Block chain Experts, companies and innovators from across the globe have come together to form the Block chain Consortium.
