Analog Devices Inc (ADI) has announced a collaboration with the China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) to engage in joint laboratory and field research to improve the reliability of smart substations.
CEPRI is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive research institute within the State Grid Corporation of China, the largest electric utility in the world and a leader in the adoption of smart grid technologies. ADI has a history of delivering innovation in many applications, including high reliability signal processing and sensing technologies for the protection, monitoring and control of electric power systems.
Cross-functional groups from both companies will identify specific reliability issues, jointly create solutions, hold technical workshops, and draft international standards – all with the aim of continuing to improve the resiliency and reliability of smart substations.
