Multi-Vendor Multi-Edition IEC 61850 Implementation & Operation
26-28 September 2017 | Novotel Amsterdam City, The Netherlands
The 4th Annual IEC 61850 Europe 2017 conference, exhibition and networking forum takes place 26-28 September 2017, at the Novotel Amsterdam City, The Netherlands. Supported by the IEC, ENTSO-E and EDSO, this is the only dedicated end-user IEC 61850 forum in Europe, and provides a roadmap for the optimal implementation and operation of multi-vendor multi-edition IEC 61850 systems, within transmission and distribution substations, as well as across the wider smart grid.
The event opens with a one-day Fundamentals of IEC 61850 workshop led by Christoph Brunner, Convenor of IEC TC57 WG10, and goes on with the main conference providing 16+ utility case-studies in the areas of IEC 61850 design, engineering, testing, operation and maintenance. Optimal implementation of GOOSE Messaging and the Process Bus will be evaluated as well as new applications of the standard inter-substation, from substation to control room, to DER, and to Metering infrastructure.
The case-study agenda will be complemented by a number of technology innovation panel discussions, a series of intimate round table discussions, an evening networking reception, live demo labs providing hands-on experience with state-of-the art IEC 61850 products, and an exhibition of the latest 61850-enabled solutions.
