The Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF), its third annual meeting will take place in Tokyo on 5-6 October 2016. The ICEF is an annual international meeting, aiming at addressing climate change through innovation and ICEF investigates via discussion in the forum what innovative measures should be developed, how the innovation should be promoted, and how cooperation should be enhanced among the stakeholders. It is regarded as the energy and environmental technology version of the “Davos”.

This year’s meeting will extend to two days with the 3 plenary sessions and 19 concurrent sessions. Following the previous two meetings in ICEF, Paddy Turnbull, Chairman of GSGF, leads the session on smart grid as the chair, discussing about technologies and policies that promote solutions and their arising new business models by deployment of smart grids.

In the plenary sessions focus on “importance of net zero emission of CO2 and innovation for realizing the net zero anthropogenic emission of CO2”, “future perspective on innovations to tackle climate change”, and “evaluation of Paris agreement and strategies after COP21”. In concurrent sessions, wide range of topics below will be discussed among the imminent speakers from all over the world;
