Transactive Energy getting real? Progress with the TE Challenge Webinar Registration

22 Feb 2016-

The “NIST Transactive Energy Modeling and Simulation Challenge for the Smart Grid (TE Challenge),” launched in September 2015 has the goal to serve utilities, regulators, and policy makers by:

  • developing simulation tools
  • increasing our understanding of TE and applicability of TE approaches
  • developing the foundations for successful utility pilots which demonstrate the use of TE methods to enable integration of distributed energy resources (DER) into the electric grid

This webinar will provide an update on the NIST TE Challenge and team activities and work products to fulfill these goals. Included will be a review of the TE business and regulatory models white paper, a discussion of microgrids demo effort(s) and an introduction to a new effort in the OpenADR Alliance to develop Transactive ADR.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Utilities, regulators, policy makers and any new participants considering joining the effort.

KEY TAKEAWAYS: The TE Challenge team is making progress to help advance TE and will share more about the valuable contributions being delivered at the May 2016 TE Systems Conference
