Building trust in the new energy world –

This exclusive, two-day gathering of Europe’s leading energy executives, policy makers and industry customers is expected to attract over 400 participants from across Europe and internationally. The event will focus on issues of market trust and consumer confidence and will examine the interaction between all actors involved: energy companies, banks and financial institutions, customers and policymakers.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do in the energy business and the industry has a responsibility to deliver the services they require, securely, at an affordable price in an energy world that is rapidly changing. But energy prices and energy policy are not determined by the industry alone. Politicians, for their part, play a significant role in ensuring the fair, predictable and healthy investment climate necessary to deliver Europe’s sustainability goals and have shown themselves ready to intervene to deliver the future they believe the industry should be shaping.

Are we seeing a shift to a new paradigm in seeking to resolve the traditional tensions within the trilemma of decarbonisation, security of supply and affordability? How far is Europe willing to go to achieve its decarbonisation goals? Will customers support that path? Will competition alone deliver a sustainable and affordable future? These and other key questions will be debated at the London EURELECTRIC event. Challenges and priorities in the short and mid-term will be analysed, with provocative questions put to attending delegates in interactive electronic voting sessions.
