The European Energy Market is the international conference dealing with energy markets and operation of power systems in the competitive environment. The conference has a long tradition started in 2004 in Lodz, Poland and continued in Warsaw and Cracow in 2006 and 2007 respectively. After four events took place in Poland, the fifth conference was held in Lisbon in 2008, the sixth event was organized in Leuven in May 2009.
