Renewable energy integration is still top of the agenda for utilities, operators and strategy leaders and whilst there are still challenges within the network, more is being done to address how we use these valuable resources within our grid system.

DNO’s are responding to requirements to optimise and support the addition to our energy mix and innovative new technology and engineering approaches are now being applied to sustain the grid.

The 3rd Integrating Renewable Energy to the Grid seminar has been designed to bring together suppliers and utilities, operators, transmission and distribution experts, engineers and policymakers to discuss strategy, best practice and implementation for renewable energy integration.

Seminar highlights

  • An in-depth view of current hot topics around renewable integration
  • Presentations focusing on both commercial and  technical content such as challenges in the network, the cost of energy and enhancing the reliability of the grid through energy storage
  • Discussions on hot topic renewable resources including photovoltaic and hydropower
  • Reviews of key issues surrounding both HVDC grids and the practicalities of the technology, control and protection
  • An overview of the integration of large scale generated resources to respond to larger network needs
  • Case study presentations examining renewable energy projects

Explore these key areas in more detail and take advantage of the opportunity to network with your peers and colleagues.
