Press Release : Mr. Reji Kumar Pillai elected unopposed to serve second term as Chairman Global Smart Grid Federation

Mr. Reji Kumar Pillai will serve a second term as the Independent Chairman of the Global Smart Grid Federation after he was the sole nominee put forward by the GSGF Board. GSGF is also delighted to welcome Mr. Oscar Miranda as the new Vice Chairman.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected for the next two years until October 2020. Mr. Steve Hauser will continue as the Treasurer of GSGF.

Commenting on his re- appointment Mr. Pillai said: It is an honour to be re-elected as the Chairman of the GSGF and I would like to thank the entire GSGF Board for their continued support in achieving GSGF’s mission to create smarter, cleaner electrical systems around the world. Together we hope that GSGF serves as an effective organization so that we can better address the challenges of this new era.

Global Smart Grid Federation is fortunate to have a diverse group of board members who have the expertise and the desire to help achieve its ambitious goals. Mr. Pillai, Mr. Miranda, and all other members on board have the experience and the passion that will allow them to add tremendously to the great work being done by GSGF.  The entire board is committed to spread the awareness of new developments in smart grids that will advance the mission, vision and goals of the GSGF.

GSGF would also like to take this opportunity to express its deepest appreciation and to thank the outgoing Vice Chairman Mr. Takashi Omote who has contributed significantly by his hard work and commitment in building and growing GSGF to what it is today.
