The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) revealed that a financial injection of 29.4 trillion US dollars is needed until 2050 to implement the energy transition in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) with a 1.5 degree Celsius scenario with a 100 percent renewable energy scheme. "According to the IRENA Renewable Energy Outlook for ASEAN report, to implement the energy transition, ASEAN needs funding of 29.4 trillion US dollars until 2050 in a 1.5 degree Celsius scenario with 100 percent renewable energy," said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources ( ESDM) Arifin Tasrif when opening the Sustainable Energy Financing and Mobilization of Energy Investments to Ensure Energy Security and Achieve NDCs In ASEAN event in Bali.
