The ready-to-adopt perovskite solar cells developed by Perovskia are aimed at edge IoT devices to provide power from ambient light at disruptive costs with printed cells. The startup is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) and has raised the seed funding from a global coalition of angels and early-stage funds.
The company plans production capacity of a million cells and is focusing on automating the backend of the production process to ensure high standards of quality.
