In my previous article (GSEF Nov 2022 Newsletter), I wrote about temperature mapping of assets using fiber sensing to validate real-time “thermal headroom”. Rising ambient temperatures and extreme swings requires maneuverability to manage an asset’s real-time thermal capability and also to re-assess aging factors.
